Combined with 30 plus years in the industry, these are the qualities that make Jill one of the region’s most respected physiotherapists and occupational rehabilitation consultants.

Whilst the Gold Coast has been home for the last 2 decades, Jill’s work has taken her to Sydney, London and back again, providing an invaluable depth of life experience, empathy and compassion. The continual referral of cases is testament to the success of Jill’s approach to return to work services.

Jill holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) and Graduate Diploma of Applied Science (Sports Physiotherapy).

Emma West

Psychologist and Accredited Mediator

If you could describe Emma in three words, they would be calm, considered and pragmatic.

Emma has over 25 years of experience supporting injured workers with return to work services, early intervention, delivering mediation and resolving workplace conflict, delivering training and undertaking psychosocial risk assessments.

Emma is passionate about making a difference in other peoples’ lives, being creative and innovative and working with people and learning from them.

In Emma’s spare time she is walking her beloved dog Martin, listening to podcasts and enjoying her garden. Her personal motto is “back yourself”.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours Psychology), Accredited Mediator, Conflict Coach, Proteus Leadership and Mental Health First Aid.

Taylor Gillies

SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL REHABILITATION PROVIDER

Occupational Therapist

Taylor has over 10 years’ experience in Occupational Rehabilitation and Return to Work, with extensive expertise supporting military and ex‑serving personnel, government employees, and individuals with complex physical or psychological injuries. 

Taylor brings a proactive and compassionate approach to her work, recognising the biopsychosocial factors that influence recovery and ensuring all stakeholders remain engaged and well‑informed throughout the rehabilitation process.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her two young children, renovating, discovering local coffee shops, and cooking.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management and has completed both Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

Tom Holzheimer

Tom brings with him experience in injury rehabilitation.

If you could describe Tom in three words, they would be practical, objective and compassionate.

Tom is focused on working with clients and providing a broad range of recovery programs.

Tom is down to earth, considered and has a pragmatic approach to his work. He often arrives to meetings on his electric scooter and is currently renovating his home.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

Michelle Nicholas

Rehabilitation Counsellor

With over 15 years of experience working in the vocational rehabilitation / return to work industry and within the disability employment sector, Michelle has extensive experience and knowledge to bring to our team.

Michelle specialty is servicing South East Queensland referrals to provide successful return to work outcomes for injured workers.

Michelle has a very strong work ethic and is passionate about helping others to reach their potential.

When Michelle isn’t at work she enjoys travel, music, good food, wine and coffee!

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Human Services (Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling), Bachelor of Arts (Education), Diploma in Community Services and Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) Membership.

Donna Valiant

SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL REHABILITATION PROVIDER (Currently on leave) 

APA Occupational Health Physiotherapist and Ergonomist

At age 10, Donna aspired to be a lead singer in a rock band. But with an open-mindedness and innate ability to relate to people, the future had other plans. It was 27 years ago that Donna found her true calling as a physiotherapist focused on the occupational rehabilitation and supporting workers following injury.

The privilege of helping people regain their confidence and get their lives back on a positive path beats any encore. Donna has specialised in injury management and ergonomics for 18 years now, working with clients from a diverse array of industries. When not at work or accepting ARPA Excellence Awards, you will find Donna exercising, socialising or in her favourite place, the garden.

Donna holds a Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics, a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy, a Cert IV in Workplace Assessment & Training and is a registered Physiotherapist.

Monica is like our Marie Kondo, an organisation extraordinaire that sparks joy around our team, keeps the appointments on time, the phones answered, the referrals filed, the emails responded, the bills paid and the reports perfectly typed.

With more years of admin experience than she’d like to share, Monica keeps our team on track and the day-to-day management of the practice running seamlessly.
